Should streets, Hwy’s etc. Be named after a citizen whom was slained by an officer?

This is becoming a controversial question, when recently a stretch of highway in Riverside County, California was named after a slain Riverside Police Officer (Michael D. Crain) Which was named “Michael D. Crain Memorial Highway “.

Many are questioning the importance of their value as citizens as well, as in the recent killings by law enforcement, though many of the cases have not finished its judicial process and or investigations, many are voicing their opinions that in cases like “Jeremy Mardis, Walter Scott, Ron Harris, Laquan McDonald, Zachary Hammond and many more..
